We're almost there. The penultimate episode of Gundam SEED Destiny. It's all come to this. Who will do the most nonsensical philosophizing? Who will pick the most nonsensical character motivation out of the hat? Who will be kicked to the moon? And who will set up a pun without even realizing what they're doing? You'll have to listen to find out, and once you do, might as well stick around for next week too.
Phase 41: Not Your Daddy's Doms
This week on the podcast, everything's showing up from space, and Geremy makes a surprising amount of jokes about music! Plus, the final new Mobile Suits for the series are introduced: the Lemniscate Justice and the Dom. But not just any old busted Dom. It's the new, sexy Dom Trooper. Listen to find all about it and its trio of pilots!
Phase 39: Tinker Tailor Soldier DaCosta
DaCosta is back! But he messed up because he's an idiot, oh no! To defend her secret StarCraft factory from DaCosta's incompetence, Lacus Clyne has to launch The Eternal without any Mobile Suit pilots and try to escape from some Nazca class ships. Sure is a shame she has a newer, cooler, Freedomier nuclear Gundam on board with no one to pilot it. If only Athrun and Mu La.... I'm sorry, Captain Neo Roanoke could convince Kira to go help her. His girlfriend. Seems like something he wouldn't do on his own. You'll have to listen and see.
Phase 29: Clipshow Hell Part II: Gilbert, Gladys and Gary
Oh joy, another clip episode. This week, we do everything we can to avoid talking about what's going on, like trying to figure out how Kira survived the fight with Athrun (we don't), and speculating on whether or not Durandal was Rau Le Creuset's drug dealer. If that sounds fun give it a listen? Has to be better than actually watching the episode.
Phase 27: Clearly He's Too Shonen to Betray You
Phase 26: Her Flabber Has Been Ghasted
In this episode of Cowboy Bebop, Lacus and Waltfeld plan a cunning heist to outsmart Meer and ZAFT and steal a shuttle. Will they be able to get away with it before the Sexy Diva realizes what's going on? Unfortunately, this is an episode of Gundam SEED Destiny, and not Cowboy Bebop, so before that, we have to deal with Shinn breaking military protocol and common sense, in order to flashback to the entirety of episode 21. But I promise the Lacus and Waltfeld stuff is real, so listen!
Phase 24: Scoobydooing Their Way Through the Dark Room
Phase 17: Yandere Lacus Clyne
Phase 13: A God Damn Science Lab
Are you ready for Phase 13? Everyone's favorite Jesus is back, and its finally confirmed that he actually has at least some sort or relationship with everyone's favorite pop idol (sorry Meer). Not only that, this episode has a megaman arm and a robot body slamming another robot with crab claws! What's not to love?
Phase 48: End of Days
Phase 47: Cagalli Rents a Suit
Things really heat up as we descend into the final moments of the war. Lacus’s seed finally blossoms, Natarle redeems herself, Flay makes some friends, and, most importantly… Cagalli gets a mobile suit! Too bad she only gets to use it for 5 minutes. Join us on this, the penultimate episode, and ride this crazy thing to the end.
Phase 46: An Unkindness (of Haros)
Phase 44: PTSD: Post Traumatic Sex Disorder
The key to ending the war is finally in the hands of the one person who should be allowed to use it: Azrael! Such an upstanding young man will clearly exercise the utmost caution and wisdom. Flay hand delivers it, and this reminds Kira that maybe he wasn’t a great boyfriend. Also, the Vesalius finally goes down in dramatic fashion.
Phase 40: Lacus Clyne's Day Off
Phase 34: Nuke the Burrito Shack on Your Way
Phase 31: Trial By Liar
Now that the Archangel has finally landed and everyone’s had some time to decompress, everything’s going to go swimmingly, right? Well, Murrue’s getting court-martialed, Kira’s being mopey, and Yzak is smoldering, so it’s pretty much business as usual. Now, if only we could see about getting Dearka some more guards.
Phase 19: Rusty Has a Face!
Phase 10: Dang It, Mu La Flaga: The Guy I Hate!
We made it 10 episodes in, and finally, we hit an episode that's all kill no filla. Instead of talking about a super old movie, Geremy mentions he's watching the now old Iron Blooded Orphans, which he never finished, and how everyone in the cast seems to have taken a level in rogue. Except Flay who just takes a level in rogue. Plus, a panty shot, and more arguments about the morality of hostage taking! Maybe I should have lead with that. Also, we announce our contest winners! Don't miss it!
